Education

Cass studied her Bachelors of Nutrition Science at Monash University through a Scholar’s program, completing an elective pathway focused on human physiology.  After this, she decided to take a year off to start her practice as a nutritionist.

 

Deciding she wanted to further her education, she was accepted into the Masters Course for dietetics, which involved a multitude of hospital placements. She worked as a student dietitian in the gastroenterology ward which is what sparked her interest in gut health and preventing auto-immune disease.

 

Interests

Although Cass loves working with a wide variety of patients, her interests lie particularly within GI conditions such as IBD (Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis), IBS, constipation etc. She believes in taking a holistic approach to health care, in particular preventative care, as human bodies are intrinsically complex and multifaceted. 

 

As a past yoga teacher, she takes an approach that is gentle, considering spiritual and mental health as well as physical.

 

Cass is recognised as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian by Dietitians Australia (DA).
